Concept lab

Working sites for businesses that don’t exist, built to try an idea properly. None of these is client work.

Concept · fictional
The Lanthorn, a concept website for a fictional inn: the first screen of its 3D tour, lit for golden hour with the demo’s time scrubber. The inn’s name and a live sunset-time chip sit over an upstairs hallway, where evening sun spills through the half-open door of the Keeper’s Room.
A still from the live 3D demo.

A boutique inn you can walk through in 3D, lit by the real sun over Old Saybrook right now, with rooms you can pick and book. The inn is made up; the website works.

How I pitch

Sometimes I build first.

If I think I can help a local business, I’ll sometimes build a working demo of its homepage before I ever get in touch. Every fact comes from the business’s own website and materials. Anything I couldn’t verify goes on a list for the owner to confirm. The preview is never linked from this site and stays out of search results until the owner says go. If they’re not interested, it stays that way.
